Pastor Phil was born and raised in Memphis, TN, a graduate of Messick high school. He later received an Associate of Arts degree from Lindsey Wilson Jr. College in Religion, a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Lambuth College, and a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt.

Phil is married to Brenda Moore Ross from Adamsville, TN. They will celebrate their 45th anniversary in July, 2017. They have two grown boys, two daughters-in-law and two grandsons. Phil likes to play golf but only with people who struggle with the game as he does. Brenda does stained glass work as a hobby, loves to dig in the dirt (Master Gardener), and cherishes time spent with family. Mission work is important to both Phil and Brenda. They traveled together on projects to Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, and Kenya.

Phil has additionally worked in the Philippines, Honduras, and Guatemala. They also led groups to the Holy Land to walk where Jesus walked, and to England and Scotland for a Wesley Heritage Tour. Brenda retired from the Clarksville Montgomery County School system after teaching Kindergarten for 25 years. Phil retired in June of 2015 after serving 40 years as a pastor in the United Methodist Church. But, he gladly answered the call to come to Fellowship Church as Pastor in September of 2015

If you’re looking for a pastor that you can relate with, a speaker that you can understand, and friends you can confide in, we’d love for you to meet Pastor Phil and Brenda in person at Fellowship Church! Worship is every Sunday at 10:00 am at 2201 Peachers Mill Rd.
